Miss Match Rentals was created from our love of thrift store/garage sale shopping as well as our eye for funky and eclectic designs. In August of 2009, we celebrated our wedding day. We were the do-it-yourself type of folks and decided that we wanted an alternative to the white plate dinner rental.

As an eco-aware couple , we had also made conscious efforts to create a more sustainable event. We purchased and borrowed 150 random vintage place settings for the occasion. Starting in January of 2009 and continuing through today, we are actively collecting vintage dinnerware locally, regionally, and throughout our travels to add to the set. Dinner plates, saucers, tea cups, silverware, cloth napkins, dessert and salad plates, we furnished all of this for our guests. They loved it!

Many found patterned dinnerware that had been used in their childhood homes. The nostalgia was thick and the charm was evident. We had made the right decision. Miss Match Rentals is now available to cater your affair.

Since our wedding, we have grown the collection to just over 250 complete place settings.  We continue to hunt to this day and hope to have 300 sets by the fall of 2011.
